Hi I'm Robert

I grew up in Minnesota and after some time in the U.S. Air Force settled in Utah. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father, grandfather and great-grandfather and have been married for 47 years. I spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and 20 years as an employee with the LDS Church. I am now retired and enjoying the free time that retirement provides. Some 40 years ago I became interested in family history and that has been my passion ever since. While others use their vacation time to go to the beach or the mountains my wife and I use it to visit cemeteries and court houses seeking after our ancestors and their descendants.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert to the church. I became interested in the church through the influence of a young woman I met in high school. We were later married for time and all eternity in the Manti Temple. I have never regretted my decision to join the church. Christ's teaching have made a positive difference in my life. They continue to do so now. I have felt His love and have been comforted by His spirit. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and that this is Christ's true church restored on the earth.

How I live my faith

During my 48 years as a member of the church I have had numerous opportunities to serve others. I have been blessed to be able to watch over the little kids in nursery as their parents attended classes, teach classes and fulfill leadership roles. It has been my pleasure to visit with people in their homes who are less active in the church, as well as, those who I see every Sunday. During my time in the Air Force I have also been blessed to fellowship with church members in various parts of the world.
