Hi I'm Maddy

I'm a musician. I am a huge book worm. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the second eldest kid in a crazy family of six. I am a book worm with a book list that is a mile long. I am a musician and have learned and enjoyed six different instruments (piano was always my favorite). I am an avid hiker and loved camping. I have finished my first year of college and now I will be serving a full-time mission for the church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in this church. I grew up being told that this church was the only true church. It wasn't until I was in my sophomore year in high school that I received my own confirmation that this was the true church. I have learned through the struggles I've faced in my life that Heavenly Father has a plan for each of us. I am a Mormon because I have felt the love Heavenly Father has for all of us. I know that my life is infinitely better because I live his gospel.

How I live my faith

There are many different ways in which to live your faith, both in the church and in everyday life. From the time I was small my parents have taught me that one of the greatest ways to live your faith is to serve others. I have come to love serving in many aspects in the church. One of my favorite ways to show my faith is playing the piano for the church. Music can bring people to God in a way nothing else can, and I have felt that every time I play in church.

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Not all members are required to serve a mission. It is a personal choice that all missionaries make, they are never forced. Show more Show less
