Hi I'm Monson

I am from south eastern Utah (Blanding). I am serving a mission in Redlands California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I recently graduated from high school and while doing so have nearly completed my associates degree. I enjoy playing tennis and have dedicated much time to improving at the sport. I began playing the piano at 8 years of age. I feel like playing an instrument helps me to relax and let out stress on busy days. I will be serving an LDS (Mormon) mission for the next two years in which time I will teach people about the restored gospel, and do many other forms of service whenever possible.

Why I am a Mormon

I choose to live this gospel because it brings me peace and joy. I have never felt more perfect love than when I am reading the scriptures or attending church activities and receive the help and guidance that I have been praying for. This has happened to me so many more times than I can count, and to me that comfort and aid is worth more than any wealth on the Earth. I live this gospel because I firmly believe that Jesus Christ will help me and anyone who chooses to follow him, and he does it because he loves us perfectly. I live it because Christ makes my difficulties light and takes away the burden of my hardships, because of the knowledge that I have from Him. I believe that there is no better work on this Earth because this work is dedicated to sharing Christ's perfect love with all. Because of this I feel that I want to live this gospel and share it will all who are willing to accept it.

How I live my faith

I have attended many religious classes for youth and young adults, and have served in leadership positions in the youth (seminary) classes. In these leadership roles I have tried to invite all to attend our classes, but my primary goal was always to simply serve and love my peers to the best of my ability. Though I'm not always perfect at it, I always try to look at people with love and a view of who they can become, just as Christ did. I have served in positions of leadership within my ward, where I always encouraged young men to help and uplift one another. Every Sunday I would go or send one representative to many elderly folk in our ward boundaries and we would bring them the sacrament and offer service for any of their needs. I believe that it is our responsibility to care for those who have aged and need assistance. I will be serving people in California for two years and while doing so I will strive to follow Christ's example in teaching, serving, and blessing all who are in need.
