Hi I'm Deanne

I grew up in Philippines. My family and I moved to Canada when I was 16. I LOVE socializing and service. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am just a regular girl in her early 20's. I like hanging out with my friends, watching movies (especially disney!) Making crafts and DIY's. I like making people happy especially when they need help the most. Like, when they are going through a hard time. I LOVE serving my fellow men. (And women of course. Haha!) I like making simple crafts to makethem feel better. Like a "TOUGH COOKIE JAR" full of cookies and messages from people who cares about them! Putting up a DIY "Be-You-Tiful" post cards on the female washroom mirror in public places, blowing up baloons with drawn faces on them or a funny message and giving them to random people at school. Those simple acts of kindness to other people. I just love them! Theyre simple but you dont know how much it means to them! Seeing their face light up with happiness and gratitute to our Heavenly Father makes all the efforts worth it! I am also a HUGE family person! I am the 3rd of 5 siblings and I gotta admit, its sometimes hard. There was a time when my siblings tied both my feet and arms on every corner of my bed. I woke up like a frog ready to be disected anytime. Haha. That is one of the unforgetable memories that we will never forget. Looking back on those, I also think its funny! Haha. I just love those silly childhood memories! Oh! I also like watching korean dramas and animes! I know it sounds kinda lame for some people, but not to me! Haha, those handsome Oppas out there! My goodness! #RelationshipGoals

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that this is the full gospel of Jesus Christ. I can feel His love for me when I am happy, when I am sad, when I feel alone, and even when I make mistakes! I love the gospel because it brings light in my life. It helps me become someone who bigger than I can ever be without Christ! I am a child of our Heavenly Father, and so are you! I have seen the gospel change lives. Even my life was changed because of the gospel. I learned how to see others the way God sees them! I was able to have more love and compassion towards other people. I was able to appreciate the little things that happens in my life because I know that those blessings are given just for me. I was able to love the gospel more and feel the joy when Im able to share it with others, so they can feel the happiness that I have because I know Christ. And I was able to find that in myself because I chose to live like a Christ. I am not a perfect person. I know I make mistakes but through the atonement of Jesus Christ, scarlet can be made white, and sins can be forgiven with a sincere heart and effort to change. Little by little, I try to step closer to Christ, and having the fullness of His gospel in my life is the only way to do that. I am a mormon because I want to change for better. The world tells us all these things that keeps us away from our Saviour. But as we hold on to His gospel, and be perfected in Him, we will be able to discern the right from wrong. We will be able to live how Christ wants us to live. That is why I am a Mormon. Because I know all these things are true. I know it deep in my heart because the Spirit bore witness and engraved it in my heart. I love the gospel and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I am so grateful to be a Mormon. To have these opportunity to serve others. I am a Service Compassionate Leader and I LOVE every minute of it! What it means is I help people in anyway that I can. Except financially. haha. I get to meet new people and get to know them better! Make new friends and just be an example of kindness!

Why is it important for us to take care of our bodies? Why are our bodies called temples of God in the Bible?

Our body is a temple. It is a divine gift from God and that is why we should treat ourselves with respect. We should be able to keep ourselves clean and pure to be able to have the spirit with us. The spirit doesnt dwell in an unclean body. We have an mortal body and immortal spirit. And that together, a spirit in the body, makes up our souls. The Lord calls our body a "tabernacle" or "temple because this is where our eternal spirit lives. What we do to our bodies affects our spirit. By taking things in our body that we are not supposed to, we are disrespecting God, his gift, and our souls. Show more Show less
