Hi I'm Kassie

I am from California. I love to do anything adventurous and outdoors. And Im a Mormon.

About Me

I love to do anything that is outdoors; whether that is wake boarding, hiking, snowboarding, camping, boogie boarding, mountain biking; you name it and I will do it or try it. I lived in Rexburg Idaho for a year and a half going to school, and I would do things like that all the time. I also have an Associates degree, and I am now transferring to BYU(Brigham Young University) for my Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Elementary Ed. I want to be an international teacher, and travel all over the world.

Why I am a Mormon

Up until I was about 16 years old I went to church, read my scriptures, and prayed because that was what was expected of me from my parents. But I didn’t really know. When I was 16 I decided that I could either leave the church or I could find out for myself if it was true. So I tried. I prayed, and fasted. I asked God a million times to show me that he was there. But he never did. One day in church I was sitting there and I realized that he didn’t have to show me this miraculous vision, because deep down I already knew that it was true. Every time I read the Book of Mormon, I got a good feeling, every time I went to church, I got a good feeling, and every time I prayed I got a good feeling. So I knew all along. When I had that realization the Holy Spirit, testified to me that I was right. I know Jesus Christ died for my sins/pains/sufferings because every time I go through something really hard and I know that I can’t do it on my own, I know Jesus Christ is carrying me. I know Jesus Christ is Heavenly Fathers Only begotten son. I know he knows me by name. He knows me more than anyone else knows me. He knows my potential and is routing for me in Heaven. He loves me. He is there for me when no one else is there for me, He is on my right hand and on my left. I know this because I have felt him. I love him. I love this Church. This is His Gospel. This is His work. I know it. I believe it. I live it.

How I live my faith

My faith is very personal to me. I try to strengthen it everyday by reading the scriptures and by praying intently. I don't worry about other people when it comes to my spiritual progress. It is between me and my Heavenly Father only. I always attend church, and participate and in class discussions. Sometimes life gets hard and times get rough, but that is when I rely on my Heavenly Father the most.
