Hi I'm Garrett

I've grown up in Utah and Oregon. I was a competitive swimmer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old and preparing to serve a mission in the Mexico Ciudad Obregon mission. I love Christ's church and how it has blessed me and my families life. I swam competitively for 6 years, though i also dabble in ultimate frisbee.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day saints because I know it is true. I know that without this true church I wouldn't have been able to make it through the many trials and difficulties that I had, and been able to come out of them stronger and stronger each time. Each of these trials have tested my faith, and genuinely strengthened my testimony. The pure joy and happiness that comes from this church is incomparable, and indescribable. The only way you can truly understand it is by feeling it for yourself, which I sincerely invite everyone to do.

How I live my faith

I actively participate in in my ward, and my calling as a second counselor in the Priest quorum. I love my ward and have a testimony that they can be-and are-like a second family, another place where the spirit can abide and strengthen me.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Garrett
When you know something is true through the Holy Ghost, that is a testimony. When you know without a doubt that something is right, and you love it. Testimonies are developed through trials and tests of faith, or essentially anything that fills your heart with the spirit. It is not always easy, but it is always worth it. Show more Show less
