Hi I'm Robert Soper

I have been a Mormon all my life. I am 71 years old and enjoy being a member the His Church that is Jesus Christ

About Me

I used to build computers now I use them at home and at work. I love to keep my little computer network up and working, sometimes I even go so far as to build a new computer. Most of the time I just buy a used one and program it with the operating system and the programs I like to use. I work for a Company that builds programs for operating a car dealership. I am one of the guys that answer calls from our customers and help them to configure our software to work on their computers. I also like to learn more about the other members of the Church by visiting www.lds.org and listening to talks from our church leaders, the computer help me do that.

Why I am a Mormon

My Mother and Dad were active in the church when I grew up. They took us (My Sister and Brothers) to church when we were little and as we grew they encouraged us to continue to attend. I am a returned missionary I went on my mission to Kentucky and West Virginia when I was 19 it was in 1965. I learned a lot more about the church and Jesus Christ and developed a testimony of the truth of the Gospel and the Lord's work. I have prayed to learn the truth of the Gospel and have been inspired by the Holy Ghost to the truthfulness of the Gospel, of Joseph Smith and the Book of Mormon. I can say I know it is true.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by listening to talks given by our general authorities when they speak at general conference. I do this most every morning before I go to work. I also pray morning and night. I pray with my wife daily and read the scriptures to her then we usually watch a video from the church about the savior or other special videos about other members and how they live their faith. I attend Sacrament Meeting each week with my wife when she is feeling up to it, her health has been a little bad lately and is getting better. I contribute 10% of my earnings as tithing plus a little extra for Fast offering and missionary donations to help our missionaries in our ward. I try to live the health laws or word of wisdom by not drinking coffee or tea or alcohol and I do not smoke. I am a greeter at my ward, this means I give out the programs as other members enter the chapel to attend sacrament meeting. I have been a financial clerk for the ward recording the donations that members make. I work with my family every day to get them and keep them involved in the Church of Jesus Christ of Later Day Saints. My children are the best and I love each of them.
