Hi I'm Ashley Greer

I grew up in Springfield Virginia. I was born into the church. I will serve in the Halifax Canada Mission. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am Ashley. I was born into the Mormon Church in a family of 7. I have had 3 of 4 of my siblings serve missions for the church. I have been called to serve at the Canada Halifax Mission and will serve for a period of 18 months. I have a testimony of the gospel and can not wait to get out in the field. A little about my self, I spent 2 years of my life at BYUH after I finished high school in Virginia. I am majoring in Accounting. I love to adventure which includes running, hiking, swimming, dancing and pretty much any activity you can do that involves moving. I love meeting new people and making new connections. I was born into the church and have had great examples my entire life growing up. While I was born I truly did not find my true testimony until I left for college. I am happy now that I found my light and can not wait to share it.

Why I am a Mormon

When growing up, I felt like I was always forced to go to church. I never felt like it was my decision. I distracted myself with good people but never really knew the happiness, and blessings that come from going the church. When I left for college, no one could tell me whether to go to church or not. I decided to stop going to church after my first year at BYUH. Life was pretty terrible during those months. I had many oppurtunites to defy the church and when I was faced with those situations, a deep knot formed in my stomach. I knew I was not supposed to do those things. I was the most scared I had been in my life. I felt and knew those things were wrong. I was scared and felt the most alone I had ever felt in my entire life. I new after that i needed to pray for help. I prayed and the lord provided two amazing roommates that helped me come back to the church. They helped me find the light I had lost. Now I am serving a mission because I want other people to feel the light that I felt. I am a Mormon because I know it is the best and true church.

How I live my faith

I have been called to serve as a sister missionary for the church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. I live my faith by praying, reading my scriptures, surrounding myself with good people who make me happy and much more. It wasn't until I was in college I realized how important this church is. People work together to make your life better, happier, easier in this church. I believe that true love, kindness and eternal happiness can come from joining and participating in the church. I am proud to be a member and recommend anyone seeking a good life to join.
