Hi I'm Sheryl

I grew up in Provo, Utah and have pioneer heritage. Playing with grandchildren is one of my favorite hobbies. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have lived a long, happy life surround by my family - husband, parents, siblings, children and grandchildren and now great-grandchildren. My family is the most important thing in my life. Everything I do is aimed at strengthening my family. I love to read, garden, shop and anything that involves my family. Playing the piano, organ and singing have brought me great joy throughout my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am the youngest child of a wonderful family. My parents taught me the Gospel of Jesus Christ from the time I was old enough to talk. It always rang true to me! Through them, I learned that we all lived in Heaven before we came to this earth. God has a plan for everyone of us. Through Jesus Christ's Atonement and teachings, which are faith, repentance, baptism by immersion, receiving the Holy Ghost through the proper authority and following all of His commandments throughout our lives, we and our families can live with Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ eternally. This Gospel is truly the Plan of Happiness! I am totally happy when I strive to live His Gospel plan. Because of this, I will always be true to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The recent death of our 46-year old daughter in a head-on car crash reaffirms to me the importance of the Atonement of Jesus Christ in my life. I am so grateful to be a member of His Church!

How I live my faith

Recently, I have spent much time with my husband helping our church and community to become more prepared in case of a natural disaster or castrophy. We have organized and hosted monthly meetings for the whole community that teach first aid, home security, dehydration, sanitation, self-defense, gardening, food storage, etc. As a part of this, we have organized the community into blocks of about 10 families each, who are the first responders to help each other in case disaster hits. I have also been the chorister for the children in our church between the ages of 8 and 11. I love children! Throughout our lives, my husband and I have served in many different capacities in our church. I have played the organ and piano in church since I was 15 years old and loved every moment. I have played for probably over 100 funerals. My husband and I also spent 18 months on a mission for our church in Romania. The Romanian people are very dear to us! Life is wonderful and I am grateful for the many blessings I receive daily!
