Hi I'm Mekenzie

I grew up in Utah. I'm serving the people in the London England South mission. I'm a mormon!

About Me

I love providing service to others. I come from a family where I am the oldest of 5 siblings. I strive to find ways to provide service to my family. I am close to receiving a college degree in Communications. In college, I work as a member of Student Government. Members of Student Government are responsible for planning school events and working at those events. I enjoy working alongside others providing service to the students at our college. I enjoy working at a local daycare, taking care of kids is a highlight of my day. I recently was called to serve in the London England mission. I am excited to serve the people of England as I serve the Lord.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. As I matured, I found it important to find out if this was God's church. I wanted to find out for myself whether or not the church was true. I have always liked the scripture in the book of Moroni from the Book of Mormon. It promises me that if I pray to find truth, I can receive answers through the Holy Ghost. Therefore, I decided to pray to find out if the church was the true church. As I prayed I felt the spirit so strong. Ever since that day, I have never questioned again. I know this church is God's church. I have some good examples in my life. I am so grateful for my parents, friends and church leaders who have helped shape me into the person that I am today. I wouldn't be the person I am today without them. Recently, I received my mission call. I was assigned to labor in the London England South Mission. I couldn't be more excited to preach the gospel to others and have the opportunity to share with them my experiences and testimony of the true church of God.

How I live my faith

I work with a great group of 9-11 year olds from our neighborhood. We get these girls together twice a month where we have a gospel centered activity. I love teaching these girls the gospel. In return, I find that often I learn more from these girls, than they probably learn from me. I am also assigned to visit teach four sweet sisters in my ward. I love the friendships that I have with each one of them. These sisters are such good examples in my life. I like to look for service opportunities as they are some of my closest friends, I hope that they feel comfortable to just ask.
