Hi I'm Taylor

I grew up in Texas & continued school in Utah. I am a counselor each year at a camp for people with special needs. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am love photography! I like hiking and reading books. I attend college at Utah Valley University. I am studying Elementary Education, I love it. I have danced since I was 4 and was on my High School's dance team. I am a sports fan, I love to watch baseball and football.

Why I am a Mormon

In high school I was a go through the motions kind of girl. I went to church every Sunday just because my family did. It was not until my first semester of college that I really discovered my testimony. I leaned on my Heavenly Father a lot being so far away from home. I prayed more, this opened my eyes to see the blessings I have that I didn't recognize before. I began to strive to get something meaningful out of all of my church meetings. I began to love this gospel. Heavenly Father made me whole without having my family by my side every second of every day. I discovered so much more self worth, through prayer and the scriptures. My priorities took a complete turn. After I began living the gospel, making it a part of my everyday life, I was filled happiness. This happiness is not short term or temporary. Jesus Christ made this possibly. I know He atoned for my sins as for everyone else's. Christ did this for our eternal Happiness so that we can live with our Father in Heaven, who loves us so much, again. I am so grateful that my family can be together for time and all eternity all because we know of the truths of this gospel. I know that I can count on the scriptures to help lead me through trials as well as prayer. I know all of this to be true. I know our prophet, President Monson, is on this earth today to receive revelation for the good of God's people. All of God's people. I am forever grateful for my Heavenly Father's love and Christ's atoning sacrifice. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

How I live my faith

In my ward up at school I was the ward photographer! This calling was perfect for me and really got me more involved in every church activity. I have helped organize different events in the women's youth group. I live my faith by following the instructions of our Heavenly Father from our Prophet. I attend the temple to feel the spirit and pay tithing to strengthen my testimony.

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

A testimony is made up of what one believes to be true. Someone receives spiritual witness from the Holy Ghost. This helps build one's testimony. Someone can strengthen their testimony through praying and reading the scriptures with pure intent. Show more Show less
