Hi I'm Elijah

I grew up in Utah. I will be serving a mission in Los Angeles, California. I'm a Mormon

About Me

I love to read, and especially enjoy biographies, historical or realistic fiction. I like to work with my hands, including; woodworking, gardening, and drawing. I love any sport except football. I am currently prepairing to serve a full-time mission in Los Angeles, California. I have participated in many clubs including DECA and Debate in high school and love to learn!

Why I am a Mormon

About a year and a half ago I was at a cross road and I was struggling with my testimony. It made it hard to go to church and participate effectively. My doubts and fear blocked me from feeling the spirit at times. It was a lonley time in my life though I had many amazing friends and family members who were supporting me. I then met with my bishop and shared my concerns. He told me how I can apply Christs love and Atonement into my life. As I started to read the Book of Mormon and say my prayers my days became better though I was still in times of trial. Now, I am constantly learning and growing. I know that this is the one true church. I still have many struggles and it isn't always easy to stay positive or hold faithful, but, I know that Jesus Christ has a perfect understanding about what we are going through. I know that the times I have struggled and done as our Savior would have done -turn outward and serve- it has made my struggles and burdens lighter to bare. It lights my life with hope, love, happiness, and excitement for the future.

How I live my faith

I am a leader in my youth group and often teach lessons. I attend my regular meetings and love going to youth activities throughout the week. I attend institue one night a week which is a religious course thats sole focus is on our Savior, Jesus Christ.
