Hi I'm Jesus Ryan Alvarez

I grew up in Texas and then moved to Utah. I love basketball, my family, and the gospel. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up a Mormon, but had many friends and neighbors who didn't share my beliefs. I love sports and played throughout school. In my free time, I play chess, basketball, video games, and listen to music. I moved states in the middle of High School, which was hard, but really helped me to grow close to my Father in Heaven. I like mysteries, comedies, and action/suspenseful movies.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I cannot deny the blessings and love I feel as I go to church and keep the commandments that God has given me. I have seen what it would be like without the gospel in my life, and it is a very dark place that can only be overcome through the Atoning sacrifice of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. With the light of Christ in my life, I was able to reconnect myself with the truths that I have known since I was a little kid. The more I study the things of God and try my hardest to follow the example of His Son, Jesus Christ, the more I find myself feeling a certain Joy and Happiness that can only come through this Gospel. I know of no other way to feel God's infinite love for me then to do of what He asks me to do. I have learned that His commandments are not tedious things to keep us busy in this life, but instead things that will bless you in this life in more ways then you can see at first. All things we have are because of Him, and all He wants to do is give us more and prepare us to be able to receive all the blessings that He has in store for us. I know God loves me, and that through this Gospel that He has restored on this earth once again, I can return to live with my Heavenly Father again in the life to come. I say these things in the sacred name of our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I was a leader in my youth group. My latest calling was as bishop's first assistance. I would plan activities and lead lesson's for the young men in my ward.
