Hi I'm Josh

I grew up in California in the USA, I'm going on a mission to the Czech Republic this fall, i'm a Mormon

About Me

I was born in California, and lived in the bay area for most of my life, i was born into the church, and my mom is a convert to the LDS church. I really enjoy baseball, and I've also played soccer for pretty long as well, I like playing video games and learning languages and ceramics. I enjoy having new experiences and meeting good people.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy, and it makes death easier to bear because I know that they will be resurrected in heaven. I'm also a Mormon because the standards our church guide me and influences me to be better everyday, and strive to be like Jesus. Another reason why i'm Mormon is because I feel like all the other churches in the world are missing key points in their religion, but the LDS church isn't missing any important key points, and I believe if you want to live for eternity with our Heavenly Father, it wouldn't be easy at all, it will come with trials and work to endure all of your trials, because I believe that Heavenly Father is truely our father and that he gives us tasks to complete that will make us stronger.

How I live my faith

In my past i have been called to help my peers since I've been twelve, i have been a councelor for my small young mens group in california, and I've been secretary and an assistant here in Utah, where the wards are much bigger. In being a leader to my peers, I have helped to welcome new members, and I have assisted people who can't come to church. i've helped the other leaders and youth advisors in planning activities and being an example to my peers and to help people get back to our church.

Why are only some Mormons allowed into temples? Is there something secret going on in Mormon temples? What goes on in Mormon temples?

Josh
The main requirements for going in the temple are to be at least 12 years old, and to be worthy to enter the temple, because people have to be at least somewhat mature to go in the temple and to appreciate it's greatness. There is nothing secret going on in the temple, it is a place to become even closer to God and your ancestors and all people who were born before you especially by doing work for them by Baptism and conformation of the Dead, and endowments for the dead and for yourself as well. we do these works for the dead that did not have the chance in this life to be able to recieve these things. We believe that families are sacred, so we are married in the Temple for time and all eternity and sealed to our children so that we can live together in heaven. Show more Show less
