Hi I'm Arlene Franco Malone

I was born in Ohio, my husband introduced me to the gospel. I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day- Saints.

About Me

I am a convert to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day-Saints. I am preparing myself to go on a mission for the church. I am senior sister and have been called to serve in the Raleigh North Carolina Mission. I guess my greatest talent is that I find it very easy to talk to people. I never meet a person that I feel I can't talk to. Conversations with others come very easy with me.

Why I am a Mormon

Why am I a Mormon? This is the easiest question to answer. It is because when I was given the opportunity to have the Missionaries come to my home to teach me the gospel, it had a very familiar feeling and ring in the messages. I loved what missionaries were presenting to me. You might say that I was a golden contact. All I was being presented with, to me felt right, felt peaceful and grounded. I had always felt there was something missing in my life and that I had more purposes to fulfill in my life. I joined the church. I know it was the right thing to do. I know that Jesus Christ is my Savior and that he came to this earth in flesh to show us the way to return to Him. He died on the cross to break the chains of death, that we may all have eternal life. He is our advocate to the Father. He is our Savior and Redeemer. He lives! Because of his atoning sacrifice, if we live the commandments we can one day return and live with Him, in the Celestial Kingdom.

How I live my faith

There was a time in my life, about two years after my husband passed away. We had been very active in church. We both served in the Temple as ordnance workers for three years and after his passing, I became inactive for many years. As time passed I realized that I was very much alone and not going anywhere. I had no real future and felt that my life was at a standstill. I did however, never denied my feeling about the church and the truthfullness of it. I slowly began to realize that unless I returned to what I knew was right I would never have those past feelings and promises fulfilled. I returned to church. I fufilled the steps required to once again come into full fellowhip. I study every day. I study all lessons for each of my Sabbath day Sunday School and Relief Society lessons. I read my scriptures and the Book of Mormo daily. Attend all meetings and pay my tithes and offerings weekly. I live the Word of Wisdom.

What is faith?

Arlene Franco Malone
Faith in Jesus Christ is the first principle of the gospel and is more than belief, since true faith always moves its possessor to some kind of physical and mental action; it carries an assurance of the fulfillment of things hoped for. Faith is a gift, it must be cultured and sought after until it grows from a tiny seed to a great tree. Show more Show less
