Hi I'm Ryan

I am from Utah. I'm a young adult, music lover, eagle scout, Disney fan, and a missionary. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

One of my favorite things to do in the world is to sing. I also play the piano and ukulele. I have 5 siblings, and have had a lot of exchange students stay at my house throughout my school years, so I am comfortable around a lot of people. I am a scholar, because I love to learn about the world. I played tennis for two years in high school, but I didn't play any more sports because of a medical condition. I have been in musicals, plays, and performance groups. I love Chinese food, Italian food, and mint chocolate chip ice cream. In my free time I like to read, quote movies and musicals, play games (all kinds, like outside games, board games, video games etc.), and sing. I try to be a friend to everyone. I also enjoy spending moments alone pondering things. One of my favorite genres of music is a cappella, and I hope to be in an a cappella group of my own someday. I hope to become a doctor, musician, father, and converted to Jesus Christ.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of my Savior, Jesus Christ, and the testimony that I have of Him, that He lives! In the past, it has been because my parents are Mormons, but through my own personal trials and sins, I have come to know the truth: that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and that through his atonement I can and have been changed for the better. I have not always been a worthy and happy guy. I have been in dark and unhappy circumstances because of my unworthiness. But even in my darkest moments, Christ's light has always been there, giving me hope and strength to be able to keep moving forward. It is because of that that I am serving a mission, to help others to see that light, to help them be able to have that hope in this dark and dreary world. I love God, and I am so grateful for all the blessings He has given me in my life. I also love my family, both my one here on earth and the human family altogether. It is for those reasons that I do what do, and it is why I am who I am: a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I am a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This means that I go around sharing the "good news" of the gospel to everyone I can! I teach anyone who'll listen about this gospel, and more specifically about Jesus Christ. Something I really try to do is to follow the promptings of the Holy Spirit. It brings me such joy to serve God, and when I am able to follow the Holy Ghost's promptings, it solidifies in my mind that God truly has a plan for me! I am trying to be more Christlike everyday, and I have to use Christ's atonement often, but that is why He did it, right? I try to become more like Christ through Christ, just as Christ changed water into wine. Does that make sense? :) Most of all, as a missionary, I am doing my best to bring my spiritual brothers and sisters back to Jesus Christ and hopefully setting them on the path to return to live with our Heavenly Father.
