Hi I'm Julie Vaught

My Dad was in the Navy so I grew up in several places. I joined the church when I was 21 in Memphis, Tennessee. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a Grandmother, a dog Mom, a reader. I've been a military dependent most of my life. I've lived in several countries and been a member of the church for 40 years, and it's the same everywhere! Sometimes a little smaller or a little bigger.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because our Elder brother Jesus Christ restored the church to the earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith in the latter days. When I prayed and asked if this was true, I learned for myself that it was. That was 43 years ago. It makes me feel good to know that I have the gospel in my life-it makes me happy. I know it's the path to happiness for me and my family if we follow our Elder Brother and do what He has asked us to do, follow Heavenly Fathers commandments. If we do we will be able to live with them again one day. I want to share that.

How I live my faith

Being a Mormon has propelled me to try to be a better wife, mother and grandmother, and that's what the gospel is all about-FAMILIES! Since I joined the church it has given me some purpose and integrity, which sometimes is hard to find. Being brothers and sisters in the gospel and watching over one another is so important, we're all spirit children of our Heavenly Father.
