Hi I'm Brandon Severn

I'm a sushi and basketball enthusiast. My family is everything and friends are family. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a recent college graduate who put myself through school. I studied financial planning and have a passion for helping people feel empowered through financial independence. I love learning to understand people of different back rounds and cultures. I play basketball and follow the NBA obsessively. I'm a foodie and enjoy all kinds of good eats. Except pickled beets. Pickled beets are evil. My parents are recently divorced. I've grown closer to my siblings and learned the value of forgiveness and patience. Oh and movies. Movies are a must.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know Jesus Christ lives, and this is His gospel. The times in my life that are the most joyful and purposeful, are when I'm living these teachings. I've received a witness that God is real. That he has called prophets and apostles in this day, just as in days of old. He has restored his priesthood upon the earth. The keys to the Church of Jesus Christ are upon the earth. I've asked in prayer many times for a confirmation of these beliefs and every time have been answered with a warm assurance that they are true. That is why I'm Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith first by showing up. I make attending religious meetings and activities a priority. Second, I help plan events that are meant to bring together people to have fun, grow closer, and learn about the gospel. I show my faith primarily by reaching out to those who may feel lonely or that they don't belong. Following the example of Jesus Christ, and emulating him brings me the greatest sense of fulfillment and joy.
