Hi I'm Michaela

I'm a current student and hopeful future teacher. I love learning, both from books and from the world around us. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a college student, majoring in Elementary Education and double-minoring in Teaching English as a Second Language (TESOL) and Classical Studies with Latin Emphasis. The Latin minor is just for fun because I love the language and the history of it. I love reading and writing and enjoy lettering and solving puzzles in my spare time. My love of history has grown through working on my personal family history and learning about my ancestors' lives. I also love both playing and listening to music. It is amazing how music can lift us up and bring us joy.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I love my Savior and I love this gospel. I have truly never felt as happy as when I am serving my Heavenly Father and doing what I know is right. The happiest moment of my life was when I was able to attend my best friend's marriage in the temple. I felt such peace and love for my friend that I could not speak, which anyone that knows me will say is a nearly impossible feat. This gospel is based on our Heavenly Father's love for us and it shows me that every day that I choose to serve Him and following His plan for me.

How I live my faith

I, in church and at home, fill in the gaps when it comes to getting stuff done. I take the jobs that no one else wants and I make sure that everything that needs to get done does. I love knowing that I have been able to help someone, even when they don't know it. I also love listening to people share their thoughts and their experiences because I know that we all have struggles and sometimes we need to share the load.

What is the Relief Society?

The Relief Society is a Church based organization that helps build bonds between women within the ward and provides a network of people you can rely on when you need to and support you they need to. We learn from and teach one another through our own experiences--good and bad. We grow our faith in Christ through learning of Him together and strengthen each other's when we share our own.
