Hi I'm James

I grew up in Kansas City. I am a rugby fanatic. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a huge fan or the game of rugby. I played throughout high school and received a scholarship to play in college. I also have a beautiful wife (who is expecting) and two amazing daughters! For the longest time sports has been my life, however, after becoming a husband and a father, my priorities have shifted and I couldn't be happier about it.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found that true happiness and peace comes from living the church standards. I have prayed many a times to know the truthfulness of the church and I have received my answer for myself; and that is something that nobody can ever take away from me.

How I live my faith

In my congregation, I help to coordinate meetings for the church leaders. It keeps me on my toes and pushes me to be the best at what I do.

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

James
To even attempt to fully explain the Atonement would be somewhat presumptuous, but here is my short answer. In the scriptures it says that "no unclean thing can enter into the kingdom of Heaven." What makes us unclean is sin. We sin everyday and with that sin it is necessary that we be cleansed. When Christ came, he atoned for our sins. He paid the price for each of our sins. The way we use that atonement to our benefit is to have faith in Him, follow Him, and repent. He makes it possible for us to return to Him in our families. Show more Show less
