Hi I'm Zach

I'm a Rugby player from California. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love the outdoors and am passionate about backpacking, surfing and anything else that allows me to be in Nature. Music is anther one of my passions; i play guitar, ukulele, piano and am currently learning the violin. I feel that music can have such an impact on someones life. It can change a bad day to a good day in a few short minutes and can really be conducive to inviting the spirit. Aside from music and the great outdoors i played football for my high school all 4 years. We had a very competitive team over all each year and it was a lot of fun. however, Rugby is my first love! It's exhilarating, playing a rough game with no pads is something special. I'm accepted to BYU Provo, and hope to play for their rugby team when i return from my 2 year mission in the San Pablo, Philippines mission!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because the teachings of our church allow us to develop a close and personal relationship with the savior unlike anything else I've experienced. The warmth and happiness that the gospel brings me is incredible, and I've never felt as complete as i do when I'm living the teachings and standards of the gospel. I personally feel the spirit a lot through music, which is one reason why i'm so passionate about it. I feel that i truly gained my testimony through music and i can think of countless times when the spirit has testified to me during a hymn at church or at EFY (which is a chourch youth camp).I promise you that if you sincerely pray about the truthfulness of this church you will find your answer!

How I live my faith

I live my my faith ambitiously! I'm a new home teacher and ward missionary in my singles ward and am super excited to be able to serve in these capacities. as a home teacher I am responsible for visiting the homes of different members once a month and sharing a short monthly lesson with them with my home teaching partner. We also provide any service we can that they may be in need of. As a ward missionary I am blessed to be able to visit with new members of the church and offer council and advice to them. We get to work very closely with the missionaries which is great. I try my best to let those around me know I am a latter day saint by doing my best to exemplify Christ in all ways I can. I believe that when we try to follow the example of our savior, we are able to be a light in the community and bring blessing to our families and those who are close to us.
