Hi I'm Austin

I love food. I love running. I love people. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I just graduated high school a month and a half ago. I ran cross country and track in high school. I was constantly injured but I love the sport and I love working hard. My best time in the 5k (3.1 miles) was a 15:48 junior year and my best time in the mile was a 4:30 senior year. I'll be continuing my cross country and track career at UVU after I serve a two year mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the same church as when Christ was on the Earth. I know that Joseph Smith saw God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ. I know it was through the power of God Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. I know that God loves his children and wants us all to return to live with Him. The Gospel is simple because it's all about Christ. The center of this church is Christ. I choose to be a Mormon because I want to follow my Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by loving everyone, being kind, serving others, and doing my best to be the best I can. I am constantly improving in my efforts to become a better disciple of Jesus Christ. I'm not perfect and the Lord knows that, but I try my best. I read the Book of Mormon everyday. I don't read for a checklist. I read the Book of Mormon because I feel peace in my life when I do. It's crazy how reading a book can make life better. The only explanation I can think of to explain the way I feel when I read is that it must be the word of God. I also pray daily to my loving Heavenly Father. I know that we are all God's children and I want so badly to return to live with him. I'm also preparing to go on a mission. I'm voluntarily dedicating the next two years of my life to share the awesome news of the Gospel. (That Christ came to earth and died for us so that we could live again with our father in heaven.) In exactly a week I'll be reporting to the missionary training center in Madrid. Can't wait to share with others what I know to be true!
