Hi I'm Mitch Olsen

I grew up in Melba, Idaho. My family has a tradition of excellence in athletics, music, and religion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

All my life I have known two things to be perfectly certain, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is true and football was in my DNA. Growing up I didn't have many, or really any, friends so I developed a strong relationship with my coaches and my Heavenly Father. Since I was a little kid I watched my family members have success in almost everything they did. My dad became a professional Opera Singer and his brother a Player in the NFL. I had shoes to fill and a shadow to get out from under. After years of the hardest work I could do I have the opportunity to play college football. Because I know how important the church is I am postponing this opportunity to serve a two year LDS mission.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because my Heavenly Father has been there when no one else has. When I had no friends he was there. When I was depressed and nearly suicidal he was there. I know that he loves me so I choose to give everything I can because of how much he has given me. This Church is True. There is nothing that I am more sure of in my life.

How I live my faith

As a member of the church I have been preparing to serve a mission for my whole life. I started by attending church every week since I was 6 weeks old. Once I reached 8 years old I was baptized and made a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 4 years later I received the blessing of the priesthood and was made leader of the youngest group of priesthood holders, the Deacons. 6 years later I am about to receive the higher level of the priesthood, the Melchizedek priesthood, and I leave on a mission in 44 days.
