Hi I'm Harrison

I play the guitar. I like to hike. I like to go fishing. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Harrison. I'm 19 years old, and loving life. I like to hike, hunt, fish, and play my guitar. For the last few months, I lived in Alaska (which I LOVED). I'm preparing to serve a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, which I'll write more about under the next section. When I get back, I'm hoping to return to Alaska and build my life up there. I hope to become a lawyer someday, get married and have a family, and live in a rural area of Alaska.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised in a Mormon family, but I consider that to be a very small factor in the reason I am a member today. The reason I have chosen to continue to be a member of Christ's true and living church is because I know it's true and I have a sincere desire to follow Jesus Christ. He gives me purpose when I feel discouraged. He gives me power when I feel week. He gives me peace in an increasingly confusing and chaotic world. I know it's a bit of a cliche, but I literally do not know what I would do without Him. That's why I'm a Mormon.

How I live my faith

While I lived in Alaska, I received a calling to teach a Sunday School class. A calling is an inspired invitation/assignment to do a job in the church. In my class, I discussed with class members the doctrine and principles of the gospel of Jesus Christ, including the commandments, the blessings that come from being obedient, and many personal stories pertaining to how Jesus Christ has made a difference in our lives. I now have received a new calling, and that is a call to serve a mission. I will be going to Russia to help strengthen the members of The Church there and share the gospel with others.
