Hi I'm Marshall

I grew up in Arizona. I love all things sports and outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love spending time with my family. There is not a thing that I love to do that my family doesn't support me in! I just graduated high school and I'm preparing to serve a mission in the Caribbean. While in high school, I played football, basketball, and ran track. My favorite sport was defiantly track where I was competitive in high jump and pole-vault, but also had time to hang out with friends at the same time. Other hobbies of mine include hunting and spending time in the great outdoors. I like to think that I am adventurous and I love trying new things! When I return home from my mission I hope to study biology and pursue an undecided career in the medical field.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a very religious family and was baptized a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-Day Saints when I was 8 years old. But, like most people I imagine, there came a time when I couldn't just rely on the testimonies of others. When I was a freshman in high school I read the Book of Mormon by myself for the first time. When I was finished, I prayed for weeks to know if it was true. My answer came when I realized how I felt when I read from the scriptures. When I read about Christ coming to the Lamanites in 3rd Nephi, I felt the love that the savior has for me personally and for each one of us. I began to develop a testimony of my own and it has been growing ever since.

How I live my faith

All my life I have been surrounded by amazing leaders and awesome role models. I knew that when I grew up, I wanted to be just like them and be the guy that people could look up to and count on doing the right thing. As I prepare to serve a mission, I live my faith by striving to align my desires with my God's desires. I read from the scriptures and say my prayers on a daily basis. I do my best to follow the council of modern day prophets and apostles. I honor my parents and seek to make them proud of the man I am becoming. I live my faith by sharing the restored gospel of jesus Christ with others.
