Hi I'm Aaron

I grew up in Roanoke, Virginia. I love playing instruments. I love the power of music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the middle child of five kids. I am a lover of music, I was in the band at my school from sixth grade to twelfth grade. I was the drum major in my marching band. I play the Trombone and Oboe. I love to play and watch most sports, but especially basketball and football. I am going to serve a mission in the Peru Trujillo North Mission. After I will be attending BYU-Idaho.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the Mormon Church with my other four siblings and both my parents. My parents have always been very strong in the Gospel and have always encouraged us to go to church and to learn about Christ. Ever since I can remember I have always known that the church is true and that the Book of Mormon is the Word of God. I took a special interest in church history and the early years of the church. When I was fourteen I had the opportunity to go to Nauvoo, Illinois, where the saints settled before the traveled west to Utah. When I was fifteen I had to opportunity to go to Palmyra, New York where the church began, and where Joseph Smith saw Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. I am so grateful for those experiences because it is almost impossible to go to either of these places and not feel the spirit so much. I went in to both of these experiences with a question in my heart of is this true. I was able to learn and see how the early saints struggled so much and I was able to see how God blessed them along there journeys. I received in both of these places a sure answer that God lives and that he sent his son Jesus Christ to earth to suffer the pains and sicknesses and sins of all the world and to die for us. I also received an answer that Joseph Smith was a prophet and that he did see God the Father and Jesus Christ and that he did restore God's true church back to the earth along with translating the Book of Mormon. I know that the Book of Mormon is another testament of Jesus Christ and that along with the Bible we can learn so many things and grow so much because they are the words of God. I know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only true church upon the earth and that through and only through Jesus Christ can we become perfect and return to live with our Heavenly Father again.

How I live my faith

I attended early morning seminary for my four years of high school. I was a Stake Youth Counsel chairman for my stake where I lead meetings with other youth and leaders to plan activities for all of the youth in the area.
