Hi I'm Nathan

I'm a young Seattleite, studying chemical engineering in college and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a curious, proactive person. I am studying chemical engineering in college because I love understanding how the world works on the microscopic level and then applying that knowledge to improve the lives of others. The second of seven children, I enjoy playing with my siblings in our backyard and on the computer with point-and-click mystery games. I also like to learn new things on Wikipedia and make others happy.

Why I am a Mormon

I truly believe that this is Christ's church on the earth today. This gospel brings so much joy into my life. I know that the Holy Ghost has confirmed my belief that the scriptures are the word of God, Joseph Smith was a prophet, priesthood power is real, and God listens to our prayers. I believe that being a Mormon will enable me to return to live with God one day.

How I live my faith

First and foremost, I focus on developing greater faith in Jesus Christ and his role as our savior from sin and sorrow. I find knowledge by reading scripture, peace and understanding through prayer, and purpose in serving others. I treat people as unique children of God and seek to understand their point of view. I look to fulfill the promise I made when I was baptized "to bear one another’s burdens" (Mosiah 18:8).
