Hi I'm Chance

I grew up in Utah. I'm a Mormon and love the gospel.

About Me

I love to play ultimate frisbee. Whenever I am around a beach, my favorite thing to do is surf. I plan to attend college after I serve a mission. I am an eagle scout.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because through this gospel, I have felt Christ's love for me. After reading and praying about the Book of Mormon, I know with no doubt in my mind that it is true. I have spoken to God through my prayers and I know He listens to me. He gives me, and you, guidance throughout our lives. The gospel has helped bring me closer to Him.

How I live my faith

I go to church almost every Sunday. I am blessed with the opportunity to bless the sacrament often and love it.

Why are Mormons asked to donate 10% of their income to their Church?

Chance
Like everything in the world, the church needs money in order to do things. Things like building church buildings, temples, missionary training centers, etc. To do this, we are asked to give 10% of everything we earn. Now to some people this may seem like a lot. But look at it through a different lens. Got gave us all that we have. He gave us the whole paycheck. Now He's just asking for 10% back. It isn't a matter of money troubles. If needed, the church could run without everyone paying tithing. But it is a matter of faith. Are you faithful enough to give what you have back to the Lord? Show more Show less
