Hi I'm Elisabeth

I grew up in Texas. I have 5 siblings, 2 dogs, & 2 parents; I love how crazy & fun they are. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love interacting with people, especially children. I have been a lifeguard for 6 years & a waitress for 1 year. My family is very silly & my brothers & I are always joking around with each other. I am about to serve an 18 month mission in California & cannot wait to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with everyone I can.

Why I am a Mormon

My father converted to the church when he married my mother. They always raised us to go to our church meetings, study the scriptures & have family prayer daily, & all the other "church-ly" duties one could think of. Despite this, I became inactive in the church when I reached my teenage years. Thinking back, I was really just trying to be rebellious, but I remained inactive until about halfway through my freshman year of college. I got a call one day from the sister missionaries currently serving in the small rural town in Kansas where I went to school. I don't how they even got my phone number but I'm pretty sure my dad had something to do with it! I was good at avoiding them & made it through the rest of the school year only going to church a couple times. The next year, I went to church with my parents when they helped me move back into the dorms one weekend. They must have swooned the branch well because the very next Sunday, the branch president asked me to be a teacher for the senior primary children. I did not want to say yes but I would have felt so guilty if I said no...I begrudgingly accepted. I barely knew anything about the Gospel anymore & wasn't sure how I was supposed to teach fourteen 8-11 year old kids, let alone keep control of them all by myself. These kids were awesome. I was learning the lessons with them & they were so patient with me. That class was where I learned about the church & was able to regain my testimony of Jesus Christ & His Atonement. I know that my Heavenly Father has a plan for me & all His children. I know that He will provide us with everything we need if we are willing to listen & follow the Spirit. I am grateful for my brother, Jesus Christ's, sacrifice on the cross so that I may return to live with Him & Heavenly Father after doing all that I can to be good here on Earth.

How I live my faith

I am a Sunday school teacher to eight 7 & 8 year old kids. I love being a Primary teacher because it helps me to learn the basics. Every week I have the opportunity to learn new things about the Gospel. I try to remind myself that Heavenly Father doesn't expect me to be perfect. He does need me to try my best though. I know when I ask for the strength to live His will, He will provide me that & so much more.
