Hi I'm sergei

I'm from Ukraine. I was adopted and came to America when I was 12 years old, and I'm a Mormon

About Me

My name is Sergei. I was born in Ukraine. I love sports, soccer, basketball, and volleyball. I played soccer since I was a kid. I love cold weather and snow also. I go to church and I'm a Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was in Ukraine. I didn't go to church and I wasn't really interested. I thought going to church was waste of time. Then when I was 12 years old a Mormon family adopted me. They made me go to church and taught me a lot of new concepts. I never heard of families having prayers together. A year later after going to church every Sunday and participating in so many activities I made a tough decision. Even though my English was still pretty rough I decided to join the church and I felt it was the right choice. From then on my life has been an amazing adventure with very few bumps in the road. Now I'm about to leave on a mission.

How I live my faith

In the church I had many callings over the last few years. My favorite calling was being a ward missionary. The purpose of ward missionary is servicing the members of the ward. Ward missionaries also help out the Full Time Missionaries. They welcome the members and make them feel more comfortable. Ward missionaries also help the missionaries with less active members or new members. Everyone wants to feel welcome in a church.
