Hi I'm Brittan

I was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah. I love spending time with my family and friends. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 19 years old and I just finished my first year of college. College was a hard change for me because I loved high school, having all my friends there, Friday night football games, dances, and being involved in different clubs. I especially loved being on the swim team. Put me in a pool, on a beach, or even just in the rain and I couldn't be happier. Luckily I have my family, friends, and of course the restored gospel of Jesus Christ that helped me get through the hard adjustment of living in the adult world. Those three things are also what led me to making the decision to serve a mission. I could not be more excited to go and serve!

Why I am a Mormon

Just the other day I had a friend ask me what I imagine my life would be like if I wasn't apart of the LDS church. At first we joked around saying things we would do if we weren't LDS but afterwards I realized how my life really would be so different. I wouldn't know that I could live with my family forever. I wouldn't know that I have a father in Heaven that loves me. I wouldn't know that I am a child of God. I wouldn't know that I can be forgiven for my sins. t wouldn't know the importance of families or treating my body like a temple. I wouldn't know that Jesus Christ bled from every pore and died for me so that I could live with him again once more. All of these things are apart of why I am Mormon. I'm Mormon because I know these things are true and I know that I am blessed beyond compare. That is why I am Mormon.

How I live my faith

Right now I am currently serving in the Primary. The first class I taught was the 11 year olds. They were a lot of fun but very ready to turn 12 and advance to the next stage of life. After the 11 year old class I was in nursery with the babies. It was a big change from teaching 11 year olds but it was refreshing to serve such sweet little spirits. My current calling is teaching the 4 year olds and they are a lot of fun. They have so much to say and so many questions. All of them can't wait to get baptized one day.
