Hi I'm Kaitlin Christensen

I have lived on the East and West coast of the U.S. and even in the middle. My dream is to travel the world. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love music and play different instruments including the piano, guitar, violin, flute, and clarinet. I am fascinated by diverse cultures around the world and would love to travel among several countries and interact with the natives there. I am studying Japanese in the hopes of becoming fluent in at least three different languages someday. I have graduated college with an Associates of Arts but plan to continue my educational career after my mission as an ESL teacher. I have moved around a lot namely from North Carolina, Washington State, several areas in Colorado, Utah, and Idaho. Needless to say, I am very used to being the new kid. It has been hard but because of this I can get along with strangers very well and am very accepting of those around me. People find it easy to talk to me and I have been the lending ear to many people over my life. It's strange because I am naturally an introvert but still find that people will often come up to me to talk. I don't get offended easily and will always try my absolute hardest to avoid any unnecessary drama or awkwardness because I find it a huge hassle. Either way, whether I like or not, I am a people person.

Why I am a Mormon

When I think about how my life would have turned out if I didn't have this gospel with me I get shivers. The gospel of Jesus Christ has been such a huge support to me both mentally, physically, and especially spiritually. I have seen the blessings from it and know with a certainty that it's true. I have such a sincere love for this gospel and find devoted service to it as a privilege and never as a burden. I thank the Lord everyday for being blessed with a knowledge of this gospel.

How I live my faith

I have been born and raised in this gospel. I would like to say I am the perfect example of devotion but I have found myself falling short on several occasions. I read my scriptures and pray every morning and night as well as attended church every Sunday. I limit my media and entertainment on Sunday's to only things that remind me of the savior and other uplifting things. When I was attending high school I attended Scripture Seminary class everyday and served as a women youth group president. I helped new investigators feel welcomed in church and helped provide for their needs.
