Hi I'm Katie

I'm a songwriter from a farm in Idaho. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up with 3 siblings who are my very best friends. We enjoy horse-back riding, fishing, and playing music together. I am studying music at univeristy and hope to write for living in the future.

Why I am a Mormon

I have often been asked if when I turn 18 I will leave the church, as if the only reason I am a member is because my parents were. Though my upbringing introduced me to the LDS church, it is ultimatley my decision everyday to continue in my faith. The reason I choose to be a Mormon is because of the overwhelming peace, joy, and love I feel when I am obeying the commandments and standards of the gospel. I have found no better way to be close to my Heavenly Father and my Savior than attending church, partaking of the sacrament, attending the temple, participating in service, and personal scripture study-- all things taught to me throught the Mormon church. I love the gospel and I love being a Mormon!

How I live my faith

Living my faith has been relatively easy for me due to a supportive family and many friends who are either members or very familiar with my religion. However, it is still my responsibility to cultivate my own faith in the gospel. To do so, I study the scriptures every night and write in a journal as well. Prayer is a huge part of my life and I pray several times per day. I also have the opportunity to serve a full-time mission for the church which I plan to do when I turn 19 years old.
