Hi I'm Emily

I grew up in Utah, USA. I love to paint, I enjoy the outdoors, and I love to see people smile. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently a college student majoring in Family Life and Human Development, but may soon change it to Biology, because I love learning about the fantastical gift of life. I am a younger sister to two older brothers and two older sisters, and a happy older sister to a younger brother. I work at a residential treatment center that can be extremely trying, but teaches me how to see people as the Savior sees them, full of infinite potential! The best job though I have is being an Aunt. I LOVE my nieces and nephews!!! I enjoy being surrounded by those I love, so reunions are the best. I also appreciate a beautiful, peaceful walk by myself through God's wonderful creations, like the beach, the mountains, or even busy cities. I love music of all sorts, country, pop, edm, rock and roll, metal- you name it!

Why I am a Mormon

I was blessed to be born and to grow up in the LDS church. But there came a point in my life where I could no longer lean on the faith of my parents and leaders, I had to know for myself. I would kneel down and cry out to my Heavenly Father to give me a personal answer, that I might know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints was the true church, the one He wanted me to be in. I experienced no sudden burst of light, no immediate manifestation but as time passed the answer I had prayed for came. It came by small subtle instances, line upon line, precept upon precept, if you will. It was by small and simple things that I came to know the church was true. It is these small and simple things that have made the biggest impact on my life. By reading the scriptures, saying my daily prayers, and serving other my life began to change in the very best way possible! Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ has not made my life ridden of heartache, but it is the ultimate source of my peace and comfort when it does come. I am a Mormon because it brings me more true joy than anything else in the world.

How I live my faith

I am live my faith by living the examples that Jesus Christ and others have set for me. I give my all in service to my fellow men. I strive to always speak kindly and respectfully with others as well as be patient with myself. I attend my church services every week, along with other activities that my church puts on. I strive to seek out those in need of comfort, or aid.
