Hi I'm JoAnn Zukeran

I grew up on the island of Lanai and I'm a proud Mormon !

About Me

I am a mother of eight children. I went back to college with seven children and two years later, my youngest was born. I received my teaching degree. I am grateful I did.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a convert and only member in my family. I joined the Mormon Church when I was 18 years old. My baby Sister passed away at the young age of four years old. I wondered why God took her and not me. One evening after I finished the Mormon missionary lesson, in the corner of the room, I saw a beautiful young lady dressed in white standing about three feet of the floor. I truly believe this was my baby sister telling me to join the one and only true church. I was baptized a week later and this was one of the best thing I did.

How I live my faith

I love to work with children of all ages, especially the Cub Scouts. The have a great program to assist these boys to become great leaders and fathers.

What does Mormonism teach regarding baptism?

JoAnn Zukeran
We as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saint believe that we must be baptized to obey the laws and ordinances. Being baptized in water we are obeying one of God's commandments. Jesus was baptized to set the example for all mankind. God has revealed that children should be baptized at age eight. Show more Show less
