Hi I'm Blake

I'm the oldest of 5, obsessed with photos, traveling, camping and hiking. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in southern California, where I lived until I was 14. Since then I have lived in Minnesota, where I have gained a love for all things outdoors. I am attending school at Brigham Young University in Provo, UT where I hope to study accounting. I love to hike and to visit as many national parks as I can. I am obsessed with the ocean and waterfalls and love to travel. I went on a humanitarian trip to Tonga and hope to someday go back. I love to take pictures and there is nothing I like more than spending time with my family. I am preparing to serve a full time mission in the Adriatic North Mission, which includes Croatia, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, and Montenegro.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because nothing else has been able to give me the purpose that my faith in Christ has. Being Mormon answers my question about the purpose of life and gives me direction and guidance during the hard times in my life. The pure joy and happiness that I feel as I follow my Savior's example motivates me to become a better follower of Him. I am a Mormon because of the joy I feel serving others and the peace I feel knowing that I will be with my family forever.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to be Christlike in all that I do and say. I am by no means perfect, but I give my best effort to be kind and loving to all, because we are all loved equally by our Heavenly Father and Savior Jesus Christ. Sometimes it is hard to be kind to everyone but by trying to view everyone as a beloved child of my Heavenly Father, it is easier to be Christlike. I live my faith my being an example to all those around me, by actively sharing my standards and beliefs and by never being ashamed of the truth that I have.
