Hi I'm James Cheshire

I grew up in Spanish Fork, Utah. I love soccer and show choir. I'm a mormon.

About Me

My first real witness of Christ was when I went to EFY Nauvoo; a week long event for youth. Before that I just believed and had faith but when I had that experience, there was no denying the Church was true. I know that no matter what mistakes you make, you can always repent and come back to God.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a mormon because I know that this is the true church. There are many things I believe but this is something I can bear witness of, that it's true. Being a mormon brings blessings and strength to you. It brings peace having the knowledge of the plan of Salvation.

How I live my faith

I served at a food pantry for a few years before allowing others to take over. I organized essentials for a local Women's shelter. I try to live as an example of what I believe. Even though I'm not perfect, I do my best. I love to help bring the spirit to people.

What do Mormons believe happens to us after we die? What do Mormons believe about life after death?

James Cheshire
When you die your body and spirit are separated. We believe that we are all spiritual beings living inside mortal bodies. After you die you will dwell in either Spirit Paradise or Spirit Prison. Spirit Prison is not like prisons in the mortal world. It is simply a place for those who have not received temple ordinances. One can go from Spirit Paradise to Spirit Prison by accepting the word of God and choosing to be baptised and confirmed a member of the church. This work is done in the temples by the living. After Christ returns to the Earth, many will be called forth and resurrected and live for 1000 years filled with glory light and truth. While the spirits in spirit prison will wait until that millennium is over, then they will be resurrected. Then all will be judged and will dwell in 1 of 3 kingdoms. The celestial kingdom, the terrestrial kingdom, and the telestial kingdom. The answer to the question "who goes in what kingdom?" can be answered in D&C 88. Show more Show less
