Hi I'm Justin Anderson

I grew up in Southern California. I love the outdoors, I love american football, I love all other sports, and I am a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Justin and I love being outdoors and working with my hands. I love hiking, camping, cliff diving, and adventuring. I have been through Yosemite, Zion's National Park, and I will add many more places to that list as my life progresses. I grew up playing football and basketball and have a deep love for competition. Football has and always will be my favorite sport. I am a math nerd and love solving problems, both math related and life related. One of my favorite things in the world to do is lay out in a field under the night sky, look up at the stars and ponder life. My favorite drink is Cactus Cooler and my favorite food is Buffalo Wings.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because my life has completely changed due to this gospel. I grew up a member of this church but always had doubts about the gospel, sometimes actively going against it. When i was twelve years old however my life changed forever. I was hospitalized with a rare blood infection and blood poisoning and was not given a probable chance to live. The doctors searched and searched but could not figure out what was wrong with me. After another blank MRI i was given a blessing by members of the church, in this blessing I was told that everything would be okay and that the problem would manifest itself. After this blessing I went in to another MRI and this scan showed that my femur was riddled with infection. This puzzled doctors, they called it a miracle, and it was. A miracle given to me by my Heavenly Father. Ever since that point I have had a strong testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ. The Mormon church helped get me through so many struggles, so many adverse situations and I have become the person I am today through the Mormon Church. I have always felt loved and included in the Mormon church and have never doubted that I was cared for or appreciated. This gospel has brought me and will bring happiness to all those who live by the principles of the gospel.

How I live my faith

As a youth in the church I have been able to plan many bonding activities and spiritual activities for my fellow youth. We have planned camp outs, basketball tournaments, video game nights, and spiritual growth nights together. The way I love to live my faith is through service. Service allows us to grow closer and closer to our Heavenly Father and to Jesus Christ. Taking advantage of every available service opportunity is an easy way for people to quickly become the best that they can possibly be in their faith. We must trust in our Heavenly Father and follow his commandments and also heed to Jesus Christ's commandment to "love thy neighbor as thyself."

What is the Atonement of Jesus Christ? Why was it necessary for Jesus Christ to sacrifice His life?

Justin Anderson
The Atonement has to do with the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made for us when he died on the cross and took our sins upon himself in the Garden of Gethsemane. Because Jesus Christ sacrificed his life and was resurrected the path to our own resurrection was paved. We will be resurrected one day becaus of this sacrifice. The Atonement also allows us to repent of any sins we make and be forgiven by Heavenly Father, allowing us to return back to him one day. Show more Show less
