Hi I'm Alicia Matsuura

I'm a Japanese American farm girl from Idaho. I'm studying journalism at BYU and teach tennis on the side. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm an Idaho girl studying to become a journalist. When I'm not reading the news or writing articles, I'm often found chasing down prime photo ops, playing on the tennis courts, getting creative in a ceramics studio or making up tunes on the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know there is truth and goodness in it's doctrinal teachings. I've experienced more happiness than ever imaginable by aligning my life with it's teachings. There is goodness in loving our neighbor. There is goodness in relying on God. There is goodness in attending the temple and church. There is goodness in feasting upon the good word. There is goodness in practicing our agency. There is goodness in being family-oriented. There is goodness in being Mormon.

How I live my faith

I strive to live my faith by showing love to those around me. We are taught to be perfect, even as our Heavenly Father is perfect. God has perfect love for his children and I try to emulate that love in my life. It's a lofty goal, but I try to remember that as long as I'm striving toward something unobtainable in this lifetime, I'm always progressing. That's all that matters.
