Hi I'm Michael

I've grown up in Los Angeles, California and I love to play volleyball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Since my freshman year of high school, I have played volleyball at the high school and club level and it has become a major part of my life. I love to go to the beach and experience different parts of the city with my friends. My parents divorced when I was five so I've grown up in and loved two blended families. I am attending Brigham Young University in Provo when I return from my two year mission to study business.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into the Mormon faith, I was not born with a testimony knowing that it was true. It was through personal study of the scriptures and prayer that helped me and allowed me to gain a testimony of the trueness of this church. There have been many occasions in my life where I've needed comfort or advice and reading the scriptures has helped me every single time. I've found that putting the church as a priority in my life has given me blessings and has made my life better in numerous ways. This church has given me relationships with amazing people and has allowed me to find happiness and faith.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving to be the best I can while finding ways to improve myself and those around me. I am a counselor for my age group of the young men in my ward where I help to plan events find ways to bring ourselves closer to each other and closer to God. I have been called to serve a two year mission for the church in the New York New York South mission where I will be teaching and serving in the Spanish language. Though two years seems like a long time, I have been preparing for my mission for years and it is something where I know my work will bless the lives of many, including my own.
