Hi I'm Justin Butler

I'm a died in the wool Mormon, raised in Kaysville Utah, and I'm excited to go serve the Lord.

About Me

I am a graduating senior from high school. I like to play piano and run track in my spare time. I am going to be attending college at BYU once I return from my mission to Sweden. I have long looked forward to serving a mission, and I'm super excited to go out and help spread the gospel. I have also competed on swim team and wrestling for one year each, and have tried various other sports until I settled on track. I have a family of seven and am the oldest and only boy. I am looking forward to my career, whatever that may be, and am hoping to settle into a job that I love.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon first of all because I was born into a great family who have inspired me to become strong in my faith. I have read the Book of Mormon several times, and every time I've taken Moroni's challenge to pray and ask for confirmation that the Book of Mormon is true, and each time I've gotten an answer of yes. I believe that through faith I can live a happier and more fulfilling life, and through the saving ordinances and saving grace of Christ, I can live with my family again through all eternity. I love living the gospel because it enriches my life, and makes me feel like I really have a divine purpose here on this earth, and that I can make a difference if I do my best to apply myself everyday. I know that the Book of Mormon is true, and that Joseph smith was a true prophet who was ordained of God and chosen to restore his true church upon the earth. I know that God loves his children, and each and every one of us has the potential to become great saints here on earth. We are all beloved sons and daughters of God.

How I live my faith

I attend church each Sunday, and always participate in the lessons that we have there. I have taught several times from Preach My Gospel in the last few months so that I can be more prepared for my missions. I play the opening songs for third hour at church, and have been playing these since I was twelve. I sometimes teach the lessons in our priest's quorum so that I can gain more experience, and I can get to know the doctrine better that I will be teaching here in a few months. I often go home teaching with my dad, and we love visiting the families in our ward that might need help or just need an uplifting message to help them get through the week. We have a great ward, and have fun parties and weekday activities that are both fun and uplifting.
