Hi I'm Judd

I'm a guitarist. I'm a recording engineer. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm 18 years old, the oldest son in a family of four, and recently graduated from high school. I love music of all kinds and play guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, trumpet, and saxophone in anything from rock bands to jazz combos to small acoustic gigs around the state. I also love recording and have founded my own recording studio -- I just love music and love to see the joy it brings to others!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have found so much peace and joy in this church and in the gospel of Jesus Christ upon which it is founded. Even though I grew up in a strong LDS family, I didn't want to be a part of the church and found myself drifting away from it in my early teenage years. However, when I found myself hitting rock bottom I came to know that Jesus Christ really does know me and love me more than I can even know and I felt a strong desire to return to the fold of God. I started diligently seeking to know the truth about the gospel for myself and I found it in this church. I read the Book of Mormon and found guidance, peace, and an overwhelming feeling of love as I did so. I can assure you that you will come closer to God by reading the Book of Mormon than you can by any other book -- I have experienced that closeness in my own life and testify that you can as well! As I did these things, and as I began to pray to God to know the truth, He sent me a witness -- a feeling of overwhelming comfort and assurance that this church is true and is the correct path to be on. Ever since this my heart has changed. I have been filled with continuing peace in my trials as I've trusted in Christ and I have seen lives changed by Him; hearts have been healed, heavy hands have been lifted, and worries have been cast away as others (including myself) have turned to the gospel. Having seen both sides of the equation of conversion I can unequivocally state that I know this church is true. I know that the peace that I have felt and the strength that I have received has come from a loving Heavenly Father who desires to bless us if we just take the time and effort to ask. I testify to you that you can also receive this peace and strength if you will pray to God for His help and turn your heart to Him. In a world where peace is so scarce, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the place where I have found peace.

How I live my faith

I am preparing now to serve a 2-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in South America and I cannot wait. I love music because it brings joy into the lives of others; similarly, I love this church and the gospel of Jesus Christ because it brings even more joy into the lives of those who seek it out, and I cannot wait to help those who desire this joy in their lives find it!
