Hi I'm Dillon Muirbrook

I was born and raised in Utah, and am now serving a mission for my Church. I'm a Mormon for life.

About Me

I've been a proud Mormon my whole life, and now that I've graduated high school, I'm on my way to share the message about Jesus Christ's true gospel. I've always wanted to serve a mission, and I am incredibly excited to watch others experience the mind-blowing difference that living the Gospel can make. I travel frequently and have been privileged to see many wonders of this earth. I'm humbled by what I've seen; God truly does work in miracles, and learning about the various places and cultures in this world has brought me great joy. I've worked hard through high school, and look forward to continuing my learning at university. I'm on my God's team, and I'll fight for Him my entire life.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because it makes me happy. It's stated in 2 Nephi 2:25 of the Book of Mormon that "men are, that they might have joy." In my life, constant happiness has been one thing that I've had difficulty finding. I have looked all over the place for something that would simply make me happy all the time. It took years, but I realized that what I sought happened to be right in front of me the entire time: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Living the Gospel of Jesus Christ brings a joy that really cannot be explained; in a way that doesn't make a whole lot of secular sense, choosing the live the kind of life that Jesus lived makes one so happy that even the worst of trials don't seem so bad. Despite everything that I've tried, being a committed member of the Church is the only thing that causes me to be consistently happy. I want to share this joy with everyone in the world; like me, everyone has a time in which they look for happiness without finding it. People deserve to know that they can have as much happiness and joy as they want; all they have to do is accept it into their lives. I'm a Mormon because I want to be happy. I'm a Mormon because the best things in my life are directly related to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And ultimately, I'm a Mormon because there is truly nothing else like the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints on the earth today.

How I live my faith

One of my favorite parts of the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the church that is built around it is the focus that we place on love and service. Because of my lifetime membership in the church, I have learned the true meaning of Christlike love and service. I frequently serve in my community, and have made it a habit to look out for anyone that might be in need. The Gospel teaches us that no amount of heartfelt service is ever wasted, and I believe that if I were to spend my entire life serving others, it would be a life well spent. What I've learned in the church has done more than teach me how to serve; it's taught me to live a life centered around anyone that could use a hand from you. In the church, members are given opportunities to serve no matter who they are or what their capabilities might be. Anyone can pitch in and help someone else, and I'm grateful that the church has taught me how to jump in with a smile.
