Hi I'm Benjamin Birchall

I'm from Southern California. I love sports, the outdoors and being with my family. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving the Lord on a full time mission in Jacksonville Florida speaking Spanish. I have two amazing parents and I'm the oldest of five children(3 boys, 2 girls). I am very competitive and love playing basketball and volleyball. I also really enjoy wake boarding, snowboarding and surfing. I enjoy spending time with my family. After my mission I will be attending BYU and majoring in Business.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents both grew up as active, strong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I have always been very active in the church, participating in church services, seminary, youth events, and leadership positions. When I was around 12 years old, a friend of mine asked me if I was going to stay a member of the church all of my life. This made me realize that I had find out for myself if the things my parents taught me were true and if I should stay in the church all of my life. I decided to study it out for myself: I prayed, read from the Book of Mormon, and attended church pondering my questions and doubts. As I took steps to find an answer, I was able to feel of my Heavenly Fathers personal love for me. I know that he was aware of the questions I had and he was able to give me the answers I needed to hear. I was able to be at peace with myself and feel confidently that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the the same, true Gospel that was established by Jesus. I am now able to answer anyone who asks me the same question as my friend, that yes I will be a member forever. I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I love the Gospel and enjoy serving people. I live my faith by doing the small things that the prophets encourage members to do: Pray, read scriptures, attend/participate church meetings and activities, and serve in my ward. Doing these things help me to improve myself and strengthen my relationship with Heavenly Father.
