Hi I'm Cody Santero

I am a mother of four. I am a soccer player. I am a writer. I am obsessed with eating sushi. I am happy. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have watched 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'Phantom of he Opera' too many times to count. I sang on stage with Book of Love, hung out back stage with The Psychedelic Furs and had a conversation with Rosa Parks. I sound bad when I sing, but I belt it out anyway. I have had belspalsy, an eptopic pregnancy, a kidney stone and braces. I love thrill-seeking adventure: bungee-jumping, rock climbing, and steeling soccer balls from boys. I organize my canned food labels in the pantry. I have saved five people from drowning. I rolled a car on the freeway coming home from San Francisco. Some times I drop off and even pick up my kids from school in PJs. I laugh when people toot. I only snuck out of my parent’s house once, because I forgot to feed my neighbors dogs when they were out of town. I love to read historical fiction. I could eat sushi five days a week. My favorite day of the week is Saturday, because that’s when I get to play with my family. My favorite thing to do is laugh with family and friends. (The kind of laugh that makes your abs sore the next day.) I once road my mountain bike across California from Oregon to Mexico in behalf of Make a Wish Foundation. I used to live on the beach. I fly in my dreams. I wish I could do it for real!! I married my high school sweetheart. He still makes me laugh. I love doing family history, because it feels like being a private detective. The first article I ever published made front page. I am writing a novel. I love to make life EPIC!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon, because I like to be happy. Following the teachings of our Savior makes me happy! Going to church makes me happy. Serving others makes me happy. Going to the temple makes me happy. Mormon friends make me happy. My life has its struggles and tragedies, but my faith gives me the perspective and comfort I need to turn stumbling blocks into stepping stones. The Spirit has confirmed to me that our Savior lives and loves us. I feel Him looking out for me. I am grateful that we have a prophet to lead us. I am a Mormon, because I believe!!

How I live my faith

I feels good to follow in the Savior's footsteps. I once wrote a rap song for a YW talent show that demonstrates how I feel. It called, Rockin' the Straight and Narrow. This is it: I'm that girl who's gonna look you in the eye I smile and wave because you know that's just so fly I'll say hello and say your name I'll cheer the loudest at your game, Because I like to Rock the Straight and Narrow I am strong because I stand for truth and right My spirit blazes like the sun all day and night You'll feel the power of my glow And I'll just help you girls to know It feels good to always Rock the straight and narrow And when I throw my hands up in the air All the people they can't help but stop and stare Because my clothes they are so modest And they say that is the hottest It looks good to always rock the straight and narrow I'm Walkin', I'm Rockin', I'm Rockin' the Straight and Narrow As your leader I can show you what is good We can camp out in the backyard of my hood We can dance and we can sing We can do most anything It's fun to always Rock the Straight and Narrow And if you've got your eye on someday being queen The Path's the way and I can show you what I mean Say your prayers with all your might And... Duh! Always choose the right There's just one way, its called the Straight and Narrow I am currently teaching the Valiant 11 Class. I have 12 cuties, including my youngest. They are very entertaining. My favorite callings have been with the Young Women. We just relate and have fun together. Girls Camp Rules!!! Family History Consultant was also exciting! It was like being on the show, 'Who Do You Think You Are.' I love my ward family and all of the amazing friends I've made through church. My oldest son is about to leave on a two year mission to the Ukraine. I have already cried 14 times, but I am SO excited for him!! Those people are going to love him!! I can see the Lord's hand work in my life. I am so grateful for the gospel!!
