Hi I'm Ashley

I am Hispanic. I am a student. And I am a Mormon.

About Me

I love listening to music and watching movies. And I spend the majority of my freetime watching movies. I love learning languages and experiencing cultures (mainly through food). I am a student and I plan to major in International Relations with a focus in Latin American studies. I speak spanish and french. I was a part of the marching band colorguard in high school and still practice when I feel the urge to.

Why I am a Mormon

Although, I was born into the LDS church, I was able to decide for myself whether or not to continue to be apart of the church when my parents got divorced. As I independently searched for the truth in this church, I was able to find the peace, comfort, and love that I was seeking. every question I had was answered and everything I learned felt good and familiar to me. Even now, as I keep moving through life, the gospel has helped me through all the diverse trials that I pass through.

How I live my faith

During my freshman year of college, I was in charge of coordinating weekly spiritual and fun activities for a small group of freshman. However, I also personally live my faith by reading daily in the scriptures (including the Book of Mormon) and praying. As I do these things, I feel closer to my Heavenly Father and my ability to navigate through life increases.
