We are happy to answer any questions you may have. Start a chat or call us at 1-888-537-6600.

Hi I'm Kassidy

I'm a lifeguard. I'm a singer. I'm a member of a happily blended family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My hobbies are music, swimming and DISNEY. I am currently a missionary serving in Panama but before that, attended a semester of college. My major is Early Childhood Development. I love working with kids and seeing them progress. When I was sixteen, my parents were divorced. It was the hardest thing I have ever gone through, but resulted in me getting two new brothers, a nephew and an INCREDIBLE stepfather!!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I know that I have a loving Heavenly Father who wants me, no, every single one of us to return home to Him. I am blessed to live in such a way that is pleasing to Him!!

How I live my faith

I currently live my faith as a missionary. I spend all day every day, studying, teaching, praying and progressing. Before I served my mission, however, I had the privilege of teaching the 3 year old children every Sunday. They are so fun!! I try my best to show kindness and love to everyone I meet because we all need those two things so much! I also try to look on the positive side when things go wrong because if you just take a second to look around, there is SO much that we have to be grateful for!!

Are all Mormons required to serve a mission?

Kassidy
Missions are wonderful! Missionaries are fabulous! But not every single person is required to serve a mission when they join the Mormon church. Deciding to serve a mission is a HUGE sacrifice. You sacrifice your time (18 months for girls, 24 months for boys), your talents, your money, and much more. The wonderful thing about this though, is the blessings that come. But I feel its just the same for those who don't serve. Regardless where you are, what calling you hold, if you are living the Gospel, if you are trying your very hardest to follow Jesus Christ's example, you will be blessed. Because the boys have the priesthood, serving a mission is considered a priesthood duty. As for the girls, we choose to serve. Not all missionaries serve the full time. Some come home because of anxiety, illness and other things. And this is OKAY. In each call letter, it states that "it is anticipated that you will serve for a period of 18 months", if you're a girl and 24 if you're a boy. But that is not always how it goes. The Lord knows each one of His children individually and what they need. He has a plan specifically for YOU. So pray to the father. Ask Him if it's His will for you to serve a full time mission. It may be, it may not be. Either is AWESOME. He loves you, I love you. Keep trying, hoping and serving, no matter what capacity you are in. You rock!!! Show more Show less
