Hi I'm Sarah

I grew up in both Utah and Michigan. I have finished a year of college and am now serving as a missionary in Central America.

About Me

I just finished up my freshman year of college and am now off to serve a mission for the Church in Honduras! I love reading, playing sports, learning new things, baking, and spending time with my family. I also enjoy listening to and playing music, in particular old time music from the 40s and 50s. Since I have lived in both Utah and Michigan I adore not only the mountains, but large forests and lakes as well and love to do outdoor activities!

Why I am a Mormon

I love this gospel! While I was raised in the church, my parents encouraged me to search the scriptures and pray for myself to know if this church was true. I took their counsel and did just that. As I poured over the Book of Mormon and prayed to know if it was true, I was overcome with a feeling of peace and love that comforted me in a way I had never before felt. I have since felt that same feeling of reassurance many times as I have continued to search for answers to my prayers and questions. I am a Mormon because I know that the gospel preached within this church is Christ's true doctrine. My life has been so blessed as I have followed the teachings and commandments taught within the LDS church and I can say without a doubt that this is Jesus Christ's church on this earth! I love my Savior and I love the gospel He has given us in order to come unto Him, and hope that I will be able to share both to all those I come in contact with.

How I live my faith

I have participated in multiple ways both in my community and the various wards I have lived in. While a teenager, I held leadership roles in our church youth program and helped organize and run weekly activities. I have also served as a Sunday School teacher and most recently as a Family Home Evening Coordinator who helps organize weekly activities for young single adults to attend. Within my community I held a position on the Youth Service Committee and loved being able to better my town through service.
