Hi I'm Amanda

I was born in California, but have lived most of my life in Utah. Dancing is my passion. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love dancing, I've been doing it since I was three. I have three brothers and no sisters (unless you count two sister in-laws). I'm 19 and I just finished my first year of college. I'll be continuing school as soon as I come back from my mission. Oh, I'm also one of the biggest Disney freaks you will ever meet. I could go on and on about Disney movies, parks, songs, trivia. You name it I most likely know it. I also love reading books, and may or may not have a slight obsession with the Harry Potter novels. I love everything to do with the ocean, and don't really like hiking. Oh and something odd about myself is that i'm allergic to some types sunscreen, how weird right?

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I chose to. I grew up in the church, but not everyone stays. When I was a Freshman in high school, our school offered a class called Seminary. This was a class put out by the LDS church where you could learn more about the gospel through a class right off of campus. This changed my life. I learned so much about Christ's Atonement, and what it means to be a disciple of Christ. Some kids would only go to this class because their parents would make them, I found that I would look forward to this class because my mind was constantly being opened up to what the scriptures say. Most of my most spiritual experiences have come through this class. I love this church with all my heart, and I love the message of hope that it brings in today's cruel world. I love that I will always be with my family, even after death, because they mean so much to me. This church makes me happy beyond comparison to anything else in today's world. So when I say i'm a Mormon because I chose to. I mean it. I chose to be happy, I chose to listen and accept the message of this gospel, and i chose to be a disciple of Christ.

How I live my faith

So in my ward, I am a primary teacher. I teach the six year old age group, and let me tell you, they either act like angels, or like a balloon that you blow up and then let go as you watch it zip around the room. Being with this age group is pretty fun, but oh boy do they drive me crazy sometimes.
