Hi I'm Erica

I grew up in Oregon and Utah. I am an artist and painting is my passion. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I have many hobbies and interests. I love working with my hands. I like fixing things and figuring out why things do what they do. I love painting. I hope to continue that for the rest of my life. Music is something else I enjoy. I play guitar, ukulele, and bass guitar. I took a piano class in college but I can't say I'm a pro at it quite yet. I have gone through 2 semesters of college and I loved every second of it. I was a little afraid at first, but it turned out to be the best thing I have ever done educationally. I love learning. I studied Music my first semester, but then I switched to Humanities so I could learn more about art and history as well. I love listening and talking to people. If there is anything I can do to help someone, I'll do it. I love my family. I am the youngest of 4. I have two older brothers and an older sister. I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my entire life. I was born into the church and it is something I've grown up in. I started off believing in my parent's testimony and doing when they knew and believed, but over time, my own testimony grew and I was able to stand on my own two feet. I now know and believe and have my own testimony that the Church of Jesus Christ and His gospel are real and true. I know that the Book of Mormon is a true book. It is not to replace the Bible but to compliment it. They go hand in hand. I know that Joseph Smith was a prophet just like Moses, Abraham, and Noah were prophets. I know that the prophet is a mouthpiece for God. He speaks through the prophet to guide and direct His children on the earth today. I love my Father in Heaven and I want to show Him that by obeying what he asks of us. I love our Eldest Brother Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for His sacrifice and all He did to bring us His gospel. I know He will help us in times of need if we just ask. He has helped me so much in my life and I see His hand in the lives of others. I know the Book of Mormon is true and I would encourage everyone who has the opportunity to read it and find out for themselves. I love this gospel and I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by participating in community service, neighborly service, and callings in the church. I try to serve my neighbors by observing what they need and helping them in any way possible. I live my faith by refraining from substances like alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs. I don't swear and I dress modestly. I try to be an example for others. My callings have included working with the young women in various leadership positions. Conducting the music for meetings, and teaching children about Christ.
